Scoured through the metal cladding after a year I’ve had this 3-quart model for about a year. The Classic Stainless series uses a kind of aluminum-core diffuser disk on the bottom of the pan (you can see where they connect at the bottom of the product photo), and though I didn’t notice this when I purchased in July 2015, the pan itself seemed high quality and I used it quite happily until now. I had burned something onto the bottom of the pot and was using a scouring pad vigorously, and noticed that one spot wasn’t coming off. That was…

Thin metal, IT IS NOT 18/10 stainless steel as … It is now several months since first review. The only pan that gave a problem from the other three was this 719-14 2 qt. I used it the first time to boil green beans and put salt in water for a few minutes. When done the pan had stains. Some would say the salt pitted it, but I used it for a few minutes and have the other ones that did not do this. So I use it for odds and ends and to fry things but it does stick for frying. Pan pitted on bottom after first use I have always liked Cuisinart products and never had a problem with any of them until this one. It seems to be defective. The very first time it was used to cook chicken breasts in water, there were pit marks on the bottom of the pan. The second time it was used to boil potatoes and the pan has even more pit marks. I have tried to clean these pit marks using a Scotch Brite scrub sponge to no avail. No salt was used in the water in either case. I have a smaller Cuisinart sauce pan which…
